Benefits
Antigenics benefits package is part of a comprehensive compensation program that has been designed to meet the needs of our employees and their families.
Medical insurance
The Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plan allows employees and their families to use all in-network providers without a referral and to use BCBS providers nationwide. Out-of-network care is also covered and is subject to deductible.
New England employees also have the option of an HMO plan, which provides comprehensive, in-network care only. Care is managed by primary care physicians, and referrals are required to see specialists.
Dental insurance
Antigenics offers dental and orthodontic coverage through Delta Dental.
Life, AD&D and travel accident insurance
Each employee is covered under a life insurance policy that offers two times an employee’s annual base salary. The benefit is doubled in the event of accidental death and dismemberment. In addition to basic life insurance, Antigenics provides travel accident insurance, which covers each employee traveling on company business with an additional four times his/her annual base salary. Families of employees are also eligible for coverage under the optional dependent life plan.
Short-term disability
Antigenics provides short-term disability benefits for up to 90 days. The amount of coverage is based on length of service with the company.
Long-term disability
The long-term disability benefit provides coverage for 60 percent of salary after 90 days of disability, with a maximum benefit of $17,000 per month.
Flexible spending account
Flexible spending accounts permit the use of pre-tax wage dollars for out-of-pocket medical or dependent care expenses. Maximum account contributions are $3,000 per year for medical expenses and $5,000 per year for dependent care expenses.
401(k) plan
Employees are eligible to participate immediately upon hire, and company match begins one year from date of hire. The plan offers a $0.50 match on the dollar, up to 6 percent, with a four-year vesting period.
Vacation time
All new employees receive three weeks of vacation. After five years with the company, employees receive an additional week of vacation time.
Educational assistance program
Each full-time employee is eligible for $5,250 in tuition reimbursement per calendar year for individual courses that provide knowledge or teach skills that are job-related.
Employee stock purchase program
The plan offers eligible employees an opportunity to purchase company stock at 85 percent of the market price during the offering. Full-time employees who were hired 90 days prior to the enrollment period are eligible.
Employee assistance program
Antigenics provides a free, confidential employee assistance program through Kathleen Greer Associates. All employees and their family members are eligible.
There is free on-site parking and a fitness center at our Lexington facility.
